About us
Meerkat expedition will provide integrated Eco and cultural travel packages to all
visitors and traveler from all over the world to explore the rich natural resources that
Tanzania has to offer, The founders and Employees of Meerkat have experienced
travel industry professionals and are passionate about the packages and activities
that the company is going to offer.
Ownership & Structure
Meerkat Expedition is current registered as a sole Proprietorship but will be changed
to Limited partnership. No outside investors or partner are involved at this point in
time, In case of any partnership needed it will be discussed and agrees on the two of
us.
Management team
Our business is a collaboration between two brother. Propheth and Johnson Makere-
We haven’t been bothered yet with the jobs titles but with our Education background
being in tourism management and Wildlife management we both have the
knowledge in the field and office expertise.
Johnson Makere Graduated from College of African wildlife management with a
diploma and has been working as a professional guide both freelance and contact in
many companies including, Pumba safari, Tanzania Host expeditione Kearsley
Tanzania ltd, Three Wonders and others. He has done over 500+ trips and been
mentioned on trip advisor and recommended by many clients, He is very
knowledgeable in all flora and fauna and you won’t get tired listening to what he has
to say,
Propheth Makere graduated from University of Dar es Salaam with a degree in
Tourism Marketing and Hospitality. He is a fantastic management person, but more
than that he understands well how to run a commercial business and familiar with all
the accounting and legal things needed. He has over 6 years of experience working
in different organization, NGO’s and company.
As we scale up later, we anticipate to incorporate new team members with different
skills and experience without destroying the chemistry that we have now, Our
structure will need people with skills in different field/department and we won’t be
able to do all in the future.
